The bill on crypto mining in the Russian Federation
The Ministry has prepared a draft regulatory document that implies the legalization of cryptocurrency mining in the country.
However, the Ministry of Finance considers it necessary to coordinate the regulatory act on the creation of an experimental legal regime (EPR) with the Central Bank. As part of the act, some market participants will be able to exchange cryptocurrency for fiat money.
In mid-November, the State Duma considered a bill regulating the procedure for mining digital currencies and selling them.
From January 1 of this year, miners will be able to sell their digital currency in two ways: through foreign systems without complying with the law on currency regulation and through a special Russian platform.
The platform will be created within the framework of an experimental legal regime.
