The fast development of the Grand Time Ecosystem and a rapidly increasing gas fee at the Ethereum network led to the decision about the Grand Token fork execution into the Polygon Blockchain. The switch from the Grand Token v1 into the Grand Token v2 will be performed in the coming days. The Grand Token fork, in the form of the 1:1 token swap, will bring many advantages for the Grand Time Community.
The article will outline the fork background, its outcomes, and Polygon blockchain adding procedure in ERC-20 wallets, that will be required to see and track the Grand Token V2 on Polygon Blockchain.
Fork in a brief — What actions will be required?
The Grand Token fork will be a switch from Grand Token v1 into the Grand Token v2. Grand V2 will be based on the Polygon Blockchain; Grand Token v2 will be upgraded into the safer and lighter version.
Please note that all of the Grand Token Holders will have their Grand Tokens switched automatically. However, all of the holders will need to add Polygon blockchain network on their ERC-20 wallet (Metamask,TrustWallet, MyEtherWallet, Ledger, Trezor, etc.,) in order to see and track the new Grand Token V2.
Fork introduction
As it was mentioned before, the Grand Token fork will be a switch from Grand Token v1 into the Grand Token v2 at the Polygon blockchain. Grand Token V2 will have the same ERC-20 standard; however, the Grand Token v2 will be safer, lighter, and upgraded. In brief, it means that the fork is an establishment of a new, better Grand Token pegged to the old one with a 1:1 ratio. The 1:1 token swap will be done automatically in the coming days.
From December 14, 2021 (5pm UTC time), the old version of the token is no longer supported.
The users holding the current Grand Token V1 at Ethereum-based wallets will receive the same amount of Grand Token V2 automatically in the coming days. The only step required from all of the holders will be to add Polygon blockchain network to their ERC-20 wallet (Metamask,TrustWallet, MyEtherWallet, Ledger, Trezor, etc.,) in order to see and track the new Grand Token V2. The procedure will be explained in the next section.

Fork advantages
The increasing fees at the Ethereum network, as well as the very high demand for Grand tokens, made Grand Token v1 not as effective as it could be. Grand Time Team decided to perform the Grand Token fork and maintain the sustainable long-term development of the Grand Time Ecosystem by creating the new, upgraded version of the Grand Token — the Grand v2.
The Grand Token fork is switching the following old contract address:
0x4911f8cebd546ef805e81dd0b0084a90d11a7688 (Old Grand Token)
into the new version of the contract address that will be announced in the coming days.
The new, improved version of the token will cause the following amenities for the Grand Time Community:
- reduction of Grand Token transfer & purchase fees
- reduction of the trading fees at future exchanges where Grand Token will be added.
- reduction or partial removal of the fees for the Grand Time ecosystem products & features
- compilation of the smart contract into a lighter and transparent code
So on, the new version of the Grand Token will not only reduce the required transaction fees but will also diminish the future fees at the whole Grand Time Ecosystem Products(Grand Social Mining, Grand Wallet, Grand Messenger, Grand School, Grand Exchange, Grand Terminal, Grand NFT Auction, Grand Metaverse) . In the long run, the solution will save a lot of gas fees for all the Grand Token Holders.
Fork Effects and Timeline
For most of the Grand Token Holders, the fork will be just a non-visible backend operation that will upgrade some Grand utilities. However, it will also lead to some minor changes that will be experienced.
The Grand Token Fork will cause the following effects:
- Grand Token Holders will need to add Polygon Blockchain Network to their wallets.
- The new Token contract address will be created
- Grand Token Holders will need to add the new Grand v2 contract address to their wallets.
- The official Etherscan token page will be changed
- The old Uniswap listing will not be supported from the December 14, 2021.
- Uniswap exchange & token analytics websites (dextools, coingecko) is no longer support the Grand Token v1 deposits, purchases & tracking from the December 14, 2021.
- From December 14, 2021 setting the Grand Token v2 as the only supported version of the Grand Token.
Furthermore, all the listings and websites where the old version of the Grand Token is used will be consecutively updated.

How to add a Polygon blockchain network to ERC-20 wallet?
Please note that the manual & address in the article below is compatible with all wallets that support ERC-20 tokens.
Some of the wallets may have Polygon Blockchain Network already added. In this case, you will need to add only the new Grand Token contract address as a custom token.
How it affects Grand Token Sale on the Grand Time Launchpad Platform?
All Grand Tokens V1 purchased on the Grand Time Launchpad before December 14, 2021 will be swapped to the Grand Token V2 in 1:1 ratio and automatically deposited to the same withdrawals wallets in coming days.
All Grand tokens purchased on the Launchpad after December 14, 2021 will be already Grand Token V2 on the Polygon blockchain network.
Final Notice about the old Grand Token
Please note that Grand Token v1 with the contract of 0x4911f8cebd546ef805e81dd0b0084a90d11a7688 is no longer supported from December 14, 2021. It means that if you will purchase Grand Token v1 in Uniswap exchange or receive transfer of old token from other wallet after December 14, 2021 (5pm UTC) your tokens will not be eligible to perform the 1:1 swap into the Grand Token v2 .
