MetaMask & PayPal

ConsenSys will add to the MetaMask wallet the ability to purchase cryptocurrencies using the PayPal application.

Initially, only a limited number of US users will have access to this option.

Using PayPal, they will be able to purchase Ethereum for fiat money and transfer it to their wallets.

The payment system makes it possible to withdraw Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin to third-party applications in June.

ConsenSys stated that MetaMask is the first to use this feature.

“Integration with PayPal will allow our users in the United States not only to buy cryptocurrency through a wallet, but also to easily explore the Web3 ecosystem,” said Lorenzo Santos, MetaMask product manager.

In April, the wallet team added the ability to purchase digital assets for fiat via MoonPay and announced a connection to the Coinbase Pay service in May.
