Binance and Nigeria Partnership

Binance crypto exchange has officially announced a partnership with the government of Nigeria 🇳🇬

The company will undertake obligations to create a digital economic zone, which will lead to the development of financial and technical projects and local blockchain infrastructure.

The Department of Export Processing Zones of Nigeria (NEPZA) noted that the project will be the first in Africa.

A similar free economic zone is already operating in Dubai.

The head of the department said: “Our goal is to organize a place free for innovation. This will open Nigeria’s access to the virtual economy, which is estimated at trillions of dollars”.

Nigeria is seriously targeting the digital asset segment. This is the first country in Africa to issue its own digital currency. This field startups are also actively supported in Nigeria.

In addition, Binance is involved in a similar project in Busan. The exchange has become an official partner of the city authorities in the arrangement of the blockchain infrastructure there.
